I didn't describe seeing anything. I stated that I was reminded of an incident; an incident I may have seen, may have heard of, may have read about.

But as it happens, I did see see the incident, so did see a television picture of a picture of a stylized image (or symbol, if you will) of an oak leaf. That's one fewer picture than you suggest Asterix.  Did I miss something?

Well someone must have seen it; if not you then you are describing a description by someone seeing a television picture of a picture of a picture of a symbolic oak leaf.
