Excellent day.

There is talk that future protests be held outside the BBC front door.

All photos of the day taken on Canon S120.  It's already becoming my favourite ever camera.
Some people say I'm self-obsessed but that's enough about them.

Very kind.

Here's me, my wife and my son, on our way to Trafalgar Square (and in Trafalgar square).

This is a photo I took (blimey..a third of a century ago!!) on the People's March For Jobs '83.

Me and my (later to be my) Wife accompanying her Trade-Unionist Father (to the left of the policeman). Things seem to have come full circle.

Saw this on the way out to Colonsay but couldn't stop. We did stop on the way back. At St Fillans, at the end of Loch Earn.

It would be a fantastic pic even without the sculpture.

My own efforts yesterday consisted of hanging out of an upstairs window during a lull in the hammering rain and popping off at the cherry tree:

Every year it puts out a tremendous display of blossom which then gets either stripped by the wind or beaten into the ground by the rain.

You do indeed, I have fond memories of St Fillans.  Some lovely views, and just up the road a bit I saw my first ever osprey, fishing.  Only had a Fuji bridge camera back then, but still got some reasonable shots of the osprey, and some lovely loch and mountain/hillside views.

Finally tried the new lens today, all handheld. It was raining and dull so most are fairly high iso  :(

Cheers Mike.

All taken on the fuji 100-400 with the 1.4 tc. This thing is brilliant, all shots were hand held. The ois is very, very good.

I haven't really used it since I bought it so I sneaked it out yesterday. I was working by Cannock Chase so had an hour with it. Pity it rained and blew a gale, it was really too dark in places at f8 under the trees, hence the high iso on some shots.

I've been experimenting with videoing with several cameras, radio mike and fill lighting. It's quite fun, with a lot more pitfalls than stills.

I had an amazing weekend coaching rowing in Norwich, here are the boys.. (they're not naked, it just looks that way...)

(I know the blades don't match, the pair had gone out 10 minutes earlier and taken the wrong ones)
