Never mind, they're symmetrical and the blades match the cox's weskit.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

This was part of an artistic exhibition spotted in Madrid (it additionally featured other outmoded consumer goods).

It was a day like any other in Ireland, only it wasn't raining

Due to work photo comp, been playing with HDR recently. I know they're not for everyone - but I like them.

Certainly looks good - and a lot of reach too.

I use a canon / on my xp2 and it seems to balance well, but the 100-400 could be another kettle of fish. The grip changes the feel altogether and is really only for bigger lenses the Canon in my view. It does have an arca swiss 'plate' built in though and is cheaper than an rrs L bracket.

I'll watch for more.

I'll be testing it today, there's an xp2 being delivered between 1-2pm :o

I'll see what it's like without any grip, the 100-400 with the 1.4tc is all held on the lens anyway. As long as I can hold the body and turn the zoom ring with ease I won't bother with any grips. The lens foot is there if I ever need a tripod mount.

This lens is that good it's never been on a tripod, that's incredible when I look at some of the shutter speeds I've used for a lens over 500mm.

ooohhhhhhh, it's lovely....................

it feels better than my xp1s, the buttons are in the right place this time on the rear. The grip is larger, the tripod mount is centred, loads of focus points adjustable with a joystick, twin cards, excellent evf and faster.

Just need to finish work so I can play :(

I got the 35 1.4 too at half price, that's on the xt10 for when I'm out on the bike.

Shame. You'll only grow to like it more. It's a brilliantly resolved camera and, although I've never used an XP1, I suspect you'll find the higher resolution and higher dynamic range from the sensor very nice. Mine has been quite a radical influence.

Took it to work today, couldn't resist.

This is a snap I took from the side of the road whilst sitting in my van. Shot at 560mm and a pretty big crop in overcast light. I'm impressed, still want a few hours playing though.

The only thing I didn't like, I put the shutter dial on T and used the command dial to control the shutter. My fat fingers kept moving the dial

Visit to the new school (they demolished the old one and built a brand new school) that my son will be heading to fromteh decant in August.

Very imaginative designs in there, including the assembly hall.

A series of steps so that whilst you may be sat at the back you can see and can't hide! Fully kitted tech suite (even a forge!) and everything is top notch. The student kitchen for those studying hospitality in S5/6

Better specced than many places they may go on to work in.

I'm hoping that the kids have even just a vague sense of how good the facilities are.

We had a forge at my school, years ago. My daughter has a laser cutter.

I quite like the forge, even though I could do more with the cutter.

I took some photos at Didcot Railway Centre...it was the "diesel gala", which is about as nerdy as it sounds.

mmm - too dark on the web. Better on my monitor in LR - try again with an extra 1/3 stop exposure
