eBay problem: urgent help needed!
« on: 10 April, 2008, 09:07:46 pm »
Someone's hacked into my eBay account - I've just got an eMail saying I didn't win an item I hadn't bid on (or even looked at for that matter). I assumed at first it was a spoof, so went to eBay.co.uk, logged in and checked but it was there :( :-\

What do I do now? :-\

Send them a message informing of this?

Don't pay  ;)

Change your password to a really hard one and report it to eBay.
Hard work sometimes pays off in the end, but laziness ALWAYS pays off NOW.

Oh I don't believe this! ;D I am incredibly moronic! I just checked and it was my mum bidding on something for a workmate during their lunch break (hence why I thought it was a hack - I couldn't see my mum buying kite surfing stuff!)

Panic over (and I now literally have glowing red cheeks).

Thanks for the advice though!

Time to get your mum her own account - after all, that way she can buy you pressies without you knowing ;)
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.
