My pan fried scallops on a celeriac mousse were great. Just need to think of something to do with the remainder of the 3 tonne celeriac.
However, the second course, my first ever attempt at crab linguine was rather underwhelming. Bit claggey, due mostly, I think, there being way too much crab in it.
I'd bought a whole large dressed crab from the fish van this morning along with the scallops.
Oh, and I forgot the salt and the lemon juice, so claggey and bland.
Well, Mrs B has a retired husband for cooking duties, there's bound to be evenings like this from time to time.
