Looks very spendy and only half of a Brompton fold.

Three and a half grand! They’re having a laugh surely?

An airnimal Joey is a heck of a lot more bike, folds smaller, is third of the price - albeit heavier.

I suppose top quality custom components add to the cost. But small wheels, high pressure tyres and what looks like an upright riding position - with no suspension that's not likely to be very comfortable.
-
And it's not really a very small fold, so won't comply with places that have size restrictions.

It was announced quite some time ago, and I think they were cheaper then. Damn well should still be. Hmmm....I could have a very very nice Tern, with a decent gear range, and lots of cash, or a slightly less nice Tern, or a Brommie, plus a Moulton, or one of these...
No contest. People will go elsewhere. Beautifully engineered cul-de-sac.

i've checked the bike out last spring - nice and light (although the bike with the components listed on the website will weigh more). personally i'd like a bike that is more customisable (riding position, chainring size, bottle and luggage mounts etc). and less expensive for what it is.
