I have created a route on Mapsource City Navigator. Can I export it to a format that will allow it to be shared on the web (Bikely etc)?

GPX is the format you want. I don't have Mapsource but I would hope it can export to GPX. Have a look under the "File" menu for export or try help for exporting.

I have had a good look round the menus and can't find any mention of exporting.  Anyone got some step by step instructions?

It's something dead simple though, like "save as"

Yup, 'save as' then select 'save as type/gpx'
