Rides with a twist

If I were an Organiser (does little bow, and doffs cap) I would want to weave some cunning thread or subject into my rides.

For example - I have a 200 route yet to be ridden that passes through Litcham, Flitcham and Hitcham.

I also have a route that basically goes from Eye in Norfolk to Eye in Cambridgeshire (and back) - which begs to be an event called "Eye to Eye".

There was a Northampton-Southampton-Northampton a few years ago, and I always thought a Black Isle - Isle of White Wight - Black Isle had something going for it.

As well as Matching Green, for a co-ordinated look?

I thought New Year's Green, High Easter, Cold Christmas and Christmas Common might be of interest...

That sounds a long way - and in the case of Christmas Common - hard work!

I always fancied a NWS approach, and was trying to work up a ride that started Upper Ramsbottom, and went via Clitheroe to Scunthorpe, trying to work in Shatton etc en route...
Getting there...

I had a "World Tour" that never left the UK plan back on ACF.   I think Egypt is just South of London.  I'll have to hunt out the old list.

Streetmap.co.uk is best for searching for this kind of thing.

It shows 5 Egypts:

Aberdeenshire, Calderdale, Hampshire (near Sutton Sconey), Bucks (near Farnham) and one on the outskirts of Bradford.

This is a genius title, as it does exactly what it says on the tin.
