Title: Newport & Radway rides 27th January
Post by: Terry2wheelz on 21 January, 2019, 07:07:47 pm
Riders  -  due to record number of entrants ( perhaps PBP effect ? ) both the Newport 200 & Radway 150 are both full to the rafters & I had to close entry early. I know 1st hand how frustrating this can be , but sadly there's really no chance of entry on line or being added to any sort of cancellation list .
Thanks for you support   Terry H

Total of 87 audacious riders have just started Newport /  Radway rides this morning.
Really good to meet a handful of riders new to Audaxing.
This is my 1st crack at being " R . O " So it's good for me to hear them talking of their future riding plans on my first one - seemingly all roads lead to Paris !
However, Not so good to see is the raging & bitterly cold northerly wind this morning   :-[

Thanks Terry for hosting a great event. The headwind was pretty relentless for the last 100km, gusting up to 40mph at times, slightly cold but dry all day. Everyone I spoke to enjoyed despite the weather.

Terry

Great day out, bit blowy on the section through Loggerheads but sometimes it's good to have something to lean against!  ;D  Thanks again for all of your hard work on this event Terry, and many thanks to all of the helpers!
