About the only downer of the route was the flatter main roads early on were much busier than I'd expected for 7am-ish. Perhaps the good weather? And I guess they are roads where no-one expects bikes. Anyway, that was all behind us once we hit the hills nearer the coast. And the hills leading away from the coast. And the hills after the 2nd control ...
