Doing a sneaky 200km perm tomorrow, so I can't/won't feel like coming out in the evening. What with Mildenhall coming up fast, how much excitement can a guy take? Have a good MEMWNS.

Hmmm... boab - I think it looks like just the two of us signed up at the moment.

The weather is also looking like it's going to chuck it down tomorrow night.

Shall we take a raincheck and leave it for another week?

I just noticed that you already have a weather clause...

Thought I might venture out. If the weather's nice and my CBA abates.
I'm slightly less foul-tempered so more likely to temper my pace and intake.

Given this:-

I think we're probably better off leaving it!

Aye. I'm bike-less at work today (flare-up of CBA) so a rain stops play is good.
Not sure if I'll get out again this year, now, as mid-week sans enfants are few and far between.

Dear Usual Suspects,

I have the house to myself on Friday the 10th so am thinking of having beers at The Compasses and then later on back to mine for pool/darts.  You're welcome to join in the festivities and kip over though you'll need to bring a sleeping bag.

Probably leave from mine for The Compasses at 7pm - can be earlier/later if that suits others.

I will be wearing my Compasses top  :-*

I checked the compasses this afternoon briefly with mini me. It was still there and serving a better selection than mid week. I'm in Chief, thanks!

I can't make this Friday OR Wednesday  :'(

mrs_o is out both nights so I'm stuck in at home.

There's a decent chance I won't be able to make next Wednesday either.

I is in Leeds this Wednesday, deep joy.  Nothing against Leeds, I'd rather be in Essex that's all.  Next week isn't looking good either.

However, I am hoping to get out for a quick blast around the lanes at some point.  If I do I will lob a post up here and see who's about.  I won't want to be out for more a than a couple of hours as there is so much going on at the moment.  None-the-less I'm sure there will be time for a swift pint.

No as I won't be on duty.  I am on duty this Sunday if you fancy joining one of my led rides, get yourself to our house for about 10:30.  The Compasses Littley Green may well be our destination, depends on the group.

On 17th I'm proposing to ride up to Boxford near Sudbury then nip across to Colchester to catch some Tour of Britain action in both places.

Anyone else fancy it?

I'm looking at train to Bury St Edmunds, see the start, ride to an intermediate point, see them come through there, and ride to Colchester and catch the finish.

I'll be on the 0721 from Witham to BSE.  I believe Tomsk is coming too.

After the finish, and at whatever intermediate point we catch them at, (I'm currently thinking about the KotM finish at Milden Hill, but am open to suggestions) there may be some BEER consumed.

EDIT: I have PM'ed you the last PM I sent to other co-conspirators ;)

I'm thinking of lurking near the finish in Colchester, also plotting to maybe bring the puppy with me in the bike basket, but I'll play it by ear. If you chaps are likely to be there perhaps I'll see if I can say 'hi', with or without Dog Minor.

I've worked out that the race goes past the end of our road so that's where I will be watching.

Are the big names in it like Cavendish and Wiggins?

I noticed that - maybe I'll watch them go past in Witham and then jump on the train and try and beat them to Colchester for the finish. They came past the bottom of my road years ago when it was called "The something or other race" and it lasted a matter of seconds. Whoosh.... And they were gone.

Keep up at the back! Mr Cavendish is currently in Spain. Messrs Wiggins and Thomas and various others are riding the ToB though.
