and those without Freeview? :(
I thought everyone had freeview now :-\ thanks to the Great Digital switchover !
-
The Great Digital Switchover has not completed all over the country yet. And I think Freeview isn't available in some nooks and crannies, so satellite or cable TV then would be needed to get ITV4.
I've got a box though, so will be catching some TdF. Thanks for the info.

for nooks and crannies read a West Sussex market town of 25k population with a half hourly service to London :(
our transmitter is a whole 1KW

If you don't have freeview try here (http://www.cyclingfans.com/) or here (http://www.mypremium.tv). You'll need a computer ;)
-
Or there's ITV Player (http://www.itv.com/ITVPlayer/?intcmp=NAV_ITVPLAYE)
-
Or the whole of West Cumbria (including two 45000 population towns and my 20000 town among others)
I get half of the freeview channels, and for some reason they prefer to give me ITV+1 than ITV4 >:(
-
Live streaming is all well and good if you don't have to work; I'd just like to be able to watch the 19.00 synopsis like we used to get on C4...
-
Or the entirety of Thanet (population 129,000).
-
I can see a lot of late nights coming on...
-
Is there are preview show on this week? I've had a quick look on the ITV website and can see the live coverage times and the 7pm round-up shows from Saturday onwards, but no intro show.
-

An annual thing for me. 3 weeks of watching the daily 1 hr highlight show after SWMBO has gone to beddybyes.
-
It's started, they missed the live start, the race is ongoing… and what have we got? No race coverage just talk about doping and Contador.
-
Race was supposed to start at 12.05 - it started earlier.
Missed the bit across the causeway.

@approx 13:30 UK time
Now tell me that guy wasn't better off wearing a helmet O:-)
-
Been watching on and off on Eurosport, showed the whole thing right from the off, neutralised causeway, then the start proper. started about 11am

He wouldnt have hit his head if he hadnt been wearing a helmet....or something.
-
What a finish. What spills and thrills! Manic first day.
-
Gahhh.... Why didn't that spectator take down twat face Evans ffs?!
Oh well, hopefully Sky will put in a storming TTT tomorrow and put Thomas in yellow!
-
No matter how hard I try I can't cheer on team Sky*.
*It's a Murdoch thing.

Well his helmet looked rather unscathed later on. He'll have a very bruised hip though.
Definitely an interesting stage.
We could see a british yellow jersey tomorrow. Thomas perhaps, but cavendish won't get it as he finished behind a team mate today.

Oh poor
Clentador
Two minutes down
I bet he'll frown
-
Saw JT and a lady, Mrs. JT (?), being interviewed by Ned. Waggins had nothing to say though.
Will a meeting betwixt Wiggo and Waggins happen? ???
-

shame the hd channel switched to car racing at some point.

It's so good, you can even see the needle marks! :demon:

Just kidding... ;)

TTT tomorrow! I think .....
Wiggo and Dowsett will drag 'em around!
Spartacus will drag Gebr. Schleck around!
Rabo W*nk will let Alberto down.

he'll be OK with Saxobank though
-
Frank Schleck in the front group today. He'll be right up there if Andy's not looking too good!

Fame at last!
Mrs JT, Waggins and I were interviewed live three times and another time for a prerecored bit. All because of Ted/Waggins of course. Later this morning we hope to introduce Waggo to Wiggo.
Great opening stage yesterday - plenty of drama - and a belting ride by G to get the White jersey.
HTC for the win today I think.

"Gahhh.... Why didn't that spectator take down twat face Evans ffs?!"
Pity you don't like Evans, IMO he's one of the most determined, gutsy riders in the peleton who has been dogged by bad luck in recent years.
Remember his puncture at a decisive point on one of the climbs the other year.
Yesterdays fantastic ride, getting approx a minute and a half on Contador, plus a very strong team, plus it's probably his last chance to win, he certainly will be giving his all again.

Opps, hadn't realised that him and Wiggo had actually been involved in the second crash within the last 3 km thus giving them the same time as the winner a 1.20 advantage over Contador.

Totally agree. His decisive year was when he won the Worlds. He made a lot of friends and admirers from his gutsy riding that year. He also honoured the rainbow jersey in many people's eyes ( those in the know I mean ). I hope he does well this year so he can prove to himself alone that he is a great bike rider.

+1

He's still a Gimp though

Oh dear, he must have been very ill to puke up that much. ;)

No they won't coz Dowsett's not in the Tour this year!! :-\ :(
I'm going to cry now!!
BTW, don't knock Cuddles - that rainbow jersey's quite clean by Aussie roadman standards! ;) ;D
-
Come on ITV put that episode online !! Its been over 50 minutes since it was on the box ...

Now we know how Wiggo fell off. He was distracted by fleas! :o

The highlights show of late has been very well edited I thought. I particularly enjoyed the final images with the music they chose. AC/DC for Cav and someone else tonight for Thor - but both brilliant for the pictures I was watching. Well done ITV.

Agreed. Getting a bit tired of ITV4 (and others, notably Top Gear) using Daft Punk's Tron soundtrack though.
