I've just been talking to my daughter. She pointed me to the link above. Apparently she wrote all the policy papers which persuaded the government to fund this.

It involves a thin, bendy tube with a camera attached being placed a short way into the rectum and lower bowel. The inside wall of the bowel can then be viewed and polyps removed.

They seem to have missed out the bit about Agent Picolax and the sedation etc.

I was never sedated!  Was I supposed to be?  Not that it hurt anyway.

It was quite fascinating watching where the sun doesn't shine, on a TV.

The deflation goes even faster if you get the giggles because of the noise and the silly situation. Come on, what's not funny about being surrounded by concentrating health care types working a long probe up your arse while you lie back farting. Once the giggles started I just couldn't stop.
