Title: Odd Tandem spotted in Bruges
Post by: GlasgowDave on 27 March, 2010, 08:45:57 pm
Perkygirl and  I spotted this unusual tandem. 3 seats, steers from the rear, and looks as if it'd fit in nicely in the fugly bikes thread too.

Bloody brilliant.  I'd vote for any party that promised to set up a scheme to subsidise the purchase of such machines, and others like it.  Get them in regular use and decrease traffic, make families healthier, happier and richer.  The cost of the scheme could be offset against the savings the NHS will make from not having to deal with so many health problems.

I agree, and the age ranges you'd be able to get on it would make the cost of purchase comparatively small over its lifetime.

Has PerkyGirl got you to modify your tandem yet so that it steers from the rear too? ;)

Agreed. But then that's true of any bike; however ugly it may appear to be at rest, get it going with a rider (or several) on it, and it's a beautiful machine. The human element beautifies.  ;D
