German rye bread with a platter of peppered ham, cheese, grapes, tomatos, plums and a huge pile of pickled red cabbage.  Served with a dollop o the F-i-L's marrow/apple/chilli chutney.
You are in a maze of twisty flat droves, all alike.

We went all posh:

Started with Gravalax
I followed that with Belly Pork, Mrs T had Cheese, spinach and truffle souffle
I had Bakewell tart to finish, and a double espresso, Mrs T just had a cup of tea.

I had the dubious pleasure of paying the bill :(

dehydrated from a packet cheesy risotto rice. It's supposed to serve 4. I've nearly finished the lot.

Left my sarnies at home.  So today for lunch I will be having whatever the shop with the shortest queue is selling.

Oh, that will be something from Burton's Menswear then.  Bugger.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

My colleague's M&S 'New York Deli' sarnies he bought last night and didn't want to eat today. This was highly fortuitous as my actual lunch, prepared by the fair hands of Miss Emily, is still in our fridge having been forgotten in my 8minute asleep - leaving the front door dash this morning.

thai chicken soup.  (leftovers + half can coconut milk + tom yum paste)

lovely, but spicier than I'd planned.

Yesterday's lunch was cancelled. I was on a train from London to Sheffield and the trolley shop had no sandwiches. I had a slice of indifferent marble cake and can of Minute Maid orange juice.

Today my lunch was apple and cheddar, celery, peanut butter sandwich and a couple of biscuits, eaten on Little Sodbury iron age fort. It's windy up there but the views are great.

I had a veloute of celeriac with a something or other and pan-fried quail egg, then a ragout of autumn vegetables. Bobb had Newhaven crab something, then a pithivier of partridge. And we both had sticky toffee pudding and fig icecream. All of it was delicious. The caramelised onion bread was bloody lovely too.

Went to Cornercopia in Brixton for a sunday roast.  The nut roast was amazing: a dryish cake studded with whole pecans, macadamias, chestnuts, walnuts and chick peas in a huge portion that could have fed two.

A home-made tunnbrödsrulle

For those who haven't grown up with this ingenious Swedish fast food, it's a square wrap (now helpfully available in Tesco's), lightly buttered, with mashed potato and one or two proper Swedish hot dogs (IKEA for that one), liberal amounts of ketchup and "grillkrydda"-a sort of bbq type spice mix.  Wrap up and enjoy as messily as possible!   ;D

Often served in Sweden with a gherkin or prawn mayonnaise or just minced gherkin
