God help me now! I am one of those females who doesn't really fit any stereotypes and definitely doesn't cook , but I am thinking I have all the ingredients for an awesome rocky road cake. Maybe I should start baking. Although I am wondering what you all might have done to deserve this  ;D

Angle grinder might be more appropriate ;)

Good luck with the ride everyone.  That includes the gallant helpers.

I've re-booked my train ticket rather than lose it, for the 22nd of July.  Idly wondering about doing the perm version that weekend.  I imagine that a stamp from the travelodge or a receipt from the petrol station would do for a start/finish control, and I know from experience that the A39 has a couple of good bus stops.

Anyone else interested in such silliness?  If I were to go for it, that is.

Heh I made rocky road, it is probably Ok except that I didn't actually have any plain chocolate just milk chocolate. So basically I didn't follow the instructions and maybe I made toxic waste TM

Shut up shop 30 mins ago - sitting here with a nice glass of Chateau de Cat Piss, and wishing I was out there in the dark and drizzle with the plucky 13 that made it down to Sunny PZtm. Good night and good luck y'all.  ;)

It fits with work, but it will be delicate negotiation for a leave pass! :0)

Nearly 30 entries and only 13 souls at Donzance?

Was the Buzzard hungry?

As of 10.00, all 13 were still going

Shame about the buzzard (that it's dead, I mean, not that it didn't eat anyone).

Hats off to the intrepid 13. It's pretty windy out there and will be a headwind from Yeovil on. Having just got blown sideways taking the dog out I'm secretly relieved not to have been 100% on Friday. Big admiration for those who get round.

Well done, all of you. I looked at the wind forecast before setting off on the Beast and remember thinking it looked worse for you down there in Cornwall than it was for us. And it was bad enough for us...
