I've got to ask. . .

Were the laxatives part of the tableau or there for some other reason?

I like this thread!

Cake from the Stratford St Mary farm shop (Hall Farm).

Wow and I had a slice each - we should have shared, it was ENORMOUS!

I don't think any pictures survive but Mrs Torslanda - she of the horned helmet and heavy metal breastplate - got me a 40th birthday cake in the shape of a US Postal team jersey, complete with logos and sponsors. Fair brought a tear to my eye, it did.

Made by my (then) 11 year old niece for her sister :)

This one is a bit more recent, also made by my niece, for her mum. She was going to write 'mum', but people kept eating the raspberries so it is my sister's initials instead ::-)

Some of the marvelous cakes made for our wedding by the same niece (13 by then). She's amazing :D

More LonJOG cake action. On the Sunday night I had dinner with friends who live near York (we actually went through their village) at a pub. After the mains, both Daryl and I decided to have a bit of this for pudding. He needed the assistance of his good lady wife and the two dogs to finish his bit. I didn't  ;D

Surely the cake gallery should be in the cycling related gallery! ???

Anyway, today's cake is Beryl* cake.

Now all I have to do is carry it back to York in one piece!

And those dolly mixtures are a bit too co-mingled really, they ought to be sorted by colour, but making any more bags would have been fiddly....

If I had a baby elephant, it could help me wash the car. If I had a car.

Ah, you saw her on a Monday morning, so I won't have been aboard. I thought I'd be likely to remember seeing you!

MFWHTBAB said he drew the line at a Beryl shaped wedding cake, until I suggested motorising one....
