Another Basecamp query

I have drawn a load of tracks for my upcoming tour of Netherlands and Belgium.  I want to look more closely at them and I want to convert some of them to routes.  I highlight the track in the list on the left of the map, right click, click on convert to a route and it draws a straight line from the beginning to the end of my track and puts up an error message saying there was an error in calculating the selected route.  Does it over and over and on all the tracks I have previously drawn.  Some weeks ago  when I was working on it it seemed to be doing it fine.  Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong here?  Thanks.

Could be a change in the map you are using, have you updated your OSM version? A lot of maps wont necessarily route on cycle paths.

OTOH, did you "upgrade" Basecamp recently? 4.3 seems to have a lot of routing problems especially around converting tracks to routes, I went back to 4.2.5
