ITV4!  When the Tour is revving up to a frantic chase through the streets of Londonton, we do not wish to see evocative Boris-approved touristical vistas.

Doubly so if your helichopter camera droid manages to include the Nut Mines ???

It was the same on Eurosport.... I suppose it must be the same feed.

I thought for one moment we were going to miss the bit from the Waterworks to Lea Bridge Road... there would have been trouble if we had  :demon: ;D

(I see they chickened out of climbing the Col De Clapton Pond!)

You want gearsinnacan and discs and forks with a crown? All on one bike?

Yes.  Yes I do.  And a hub dynamo.  And bullhorn bars.  And front and rear racks.  And maybe even belt drive. :D

tinned gears - √
belt drive - √
disc brakes - √
rear rack - √

No fork crown, no provision for front rack. No bullhorns but nothing to stop you fitting them.
It might be as close as you're going to get without going custom. But it might be that you really should go custom built!

That is rather groovy.  But Singular Peregrine does tick more boxes.

The Peregrine does look gorgeous and practical. A bit expensive and not the lightest of framesets, but still both gorgeous and practical. Not sure about the eccentric bottom bracket - I'm a bit suspicious of them, for no good reason, never had one - and it won't take a belt drive. But it is gorgeous. And practical.

Odd that the 'frame size' box only gives the option of 'small' (which limits you to 32mm tyres, according to their blurb - even if it fits you, which of course it wouldn't. Oh dear, this is providing more material for a whinge, isn't it? Better stop now!)

Dear Everyone (it would seem) on the entire planet.
There is not, and never has been, a children’s character called “Thomas The Tank”
(Maybe Valiant has something of this name parked outside his abode)

Also, it is not by Ringo Starr.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

We had a teacher who was rather 'well-built'.
She was known as'The Tank'.
But not Thomas, even though she was Welsh.

Catit Design Cabrio Cat Carrier, what a heap of shit. Images on the instructions are not clear, assembly very awkward. Really difficult to get the door frame attached to the body of the carrier, had to tap it in with a mallet*, and as soon as I persuaded** the cat into it to test it and lifted it up, the door frame came away from it. It's going back. But now it's assembled, it won't fit in the bloody box and if I try and force it apart, it'll break.

Fuck you and your shitty-arsed plastic crap. Poor Pete can just have a wire crate. Not as comfy, but he's unlikely to break out of it.

I can go years without seeing a shop shut on a Monday.

But the two places I've just phoned cos they stock the thing I really really need right now are both shut on Mondays.

Come to Vlaardingen (Dutch town where I work) and you can watch the tumble weed blowing along the main street on any Monday.

Mr Sainsbury!  Outside your Emporium of Toothy Comestibles is a sort of porch affair, with a roller shutter at each end.  Of it.  For the last three weeks one of said shutters has been perma-closed.  If it's b0rked, mend it.  The closed side is the one closer to the bike stands, natch, and also closer to where I always park my motor-car.  I've been using that branch since it opened about twenty-five years ago, so you ought to know this by now :P

Just picked up my motor-car from a service.  I should have kept my trap shut about it being cheaper than last time - the thieving gits have robbed the pound coin I use for liberating horriblemarket trolleys from their bondage >:(
