50 not out

after a couple of favourable decisions early on I have gone on to make my half century,
to celebrate we will be having fish & chips for tea  :)

I will also be ordering a surly Cross Check frame.

Congratulations.  Or is it commiserations?

Getting a surly sounds like a good idea, I'd like one but my wife says I'm surly enough already.

50 was 10 years ago for me and brought a sudden rash of minor heath problems with aches and pains.  I was grumbling to the veterans group I rode with, most of whom were in their 70s.  Their response was "sonny, you don't know anything yet!".

me too + a bit.
I have noticed a rather quick decline in health&ability only in the last 3 years but it is frustrating nevertheless.
My local Wednesday Wheelers are all older than me by at least 5 years & they are all much much fitter.They provide hope & inspiration with no grumbling.ftw.
