Did we decide on an alternative?

I think the Cats is an entertaining option as Jem does like the Abbott ::-)

I'm lurgied, so I'm unlikely to be joining on Wednesday.
You are in a maze of twisty flat droves, all alike.

Here's the Witham Peloton proposed route then.  ETA 9pm.
If there's any dissent in the ranks just remember it's only a proposed route (Jem  :demon:)

If I'm not there by 7:30 please don't wait.

I will be at Spa Rd for 7:30.
After putting a dry pair of socks on - there is a lot of standing water out there!

Due to foreseen circumstances (wisdom tooth extraction) the staff will be off sick tonight.

What is in the schedule for this week?

Currently metcheck is showing negative temperatures for Wednesday night but with no significant rain or snow before.

The calendar currently says The Willows - Cressing. So a short ride back to Witham

This isn't a pub I've visited before, any good??

I've plotted a gritted route, via Spa RBT.

Untreated roads were dry and felt ok yesterday on my Dick Turpin Reversed. Some frozen mud, frost and a bit of wheel-spin on an un-thawed corpse [pheasant I think]. All in daylight though. Comment from landlord Mr Blake at the Six Bells: "Why did you pick the coldest day of the winter to ride, and where's Raymond"

I'll be doing a gritted route on Wednesday though - to Finchingfield back through Braintree, .
