I shall think about it.  Just how lumpy is it?  :-\

Ever so slightly worse than Malta. You should be ok!

The route last year was per-fect. .

I would be comfortable with that. There would be only two occassions ,as I recollect,
where the 24" gear may be needed.
Will it be the same pub?

Just to let people know tis a brilliant ride, and very doable on a 72" fixie ridden by the likes of me :)

Sadly I won't be able to make it so no heroic gestures from me this year as I'll be working in Birmingham :(

With regard to your underpants outside your trousers Superman performance last year ,this years should be a bloomin' doddle:Birmingham is a lot closer to L.E. than London :)

I can provide a route outline. Easy for you!

It is always the same pub. I know of no-where else that does pies like theirs, nor that serves the beer so properly.

Without the pub, there would be no ride.

I think Peli's a veggie, and she found something to eat. Vicky - did they have a decent vegetarian selection?

No need to apologise. It'll be nice to have you along if you can make it.

Hmm, veggie pies. I can't recall what I ate, other than the fabulous sticky toffee pudding Alan bought for me :)

I think I had a veggie pie too...

I am considering this but if I am being honest I doubt I'll make as I think I will be on call that day.

Oh poo.
Seems that on that date I shall be sat in a hole in a vinyard, destryoing Kent's cultural heritage and shouting at students :(

I've remembered that I had a veggie burger, not a pie. It was ok, and the pud was even better :)

The route back is usually smooth and flat to allow easy digestion of substantial pies.

That pub is within a whisker of being my local.  (Ok, 4-5 miles away.) So I may peel off from the well-fed and -watered company, get home, put the kettle on and put Dr Who on the telly oh blast, the series will have ended by then.

The full (in more ways than one!) 40 miles it is then!  I'll just get the train home again when we all part company.

I'm interested in this ride, although I'll have to confirm nearer the time.

I'm scared of the speed though - a slow pootle to you lot is flat out for me.

You finished the Shenstone audax over an hour before me so you won't have any problems  ;)
