The route back is usually smooth and flat to allow easy digestion of substantial pies.
That pub is within a whisker of being my local. (Ok, 4-5 miles away.) So I may peel off from the well-fed and -watered company, get home, put the kettle on and
put Dr Who on the telly oh blast, the series will have ended by then.
The full (in more ways than one!) 40 miles it is then! I'll just get the train home again when we all part company.
