Some on this site appear not to be aware some cycle ride in London

CYCLE RIDES

I am Rides/Walk Leader

I lead One Star Rides and in the case of CTC Central London also walks

http://www.centrallondonctc.org.uk/

These rides are done jointly with LCC Kensington and Chelsea

http://kc-cyclists.org.uk/site/?page_id=9

also with LCC Westminster http://www.westminstercyclists.org.uk/

The rides often start in Kensington Gardens, or if not near to a central London railway stations.

My one star rides are normally base within the Greater London Authority area, even though we did a mange to go into Essex by about 100 yard to go to a pub few month ago.

My rides are less than 25 miles in length and are intended for the new cyclist or somebody who does not want to go fast, there are other rides for them, my rides are not races. I go to the various parks, open space, canal, and other place of interest.

One of the jobs I have in hand is to compile a list of groups i.e. CTC, LCC, Sustrans etc who run rides for beginners, if you know of any such groups please send details preferably with a link to philipbenstead1@gmail.com
