[HAMR] May 8th - Teethgrinder Day 128

He's caught you all slacking and has set off already. Is the unusual route a sign of good news from yesterday hospital appointment?

Rumours yesterday that he's back on the Raleigh. Can anyone in the know confirm?

The pace looks like Raleigh pace & route looks like a 2 wheel one... ;D

Possibly having a trial run today to see how it goes :D

Rather felt this might be the surprise foretold.  Fingers crossed.

Good on you, Steve, but take it easy!

It is simpler than it looks.

I have a suspicion that he might be heading for Gt.Dunmow followed by the Asparagus & Strawberries 400 tomorrow.

If so its a massive  from me.

I understand that TG still wants to ride PBP, so qualification is still needed.

According to a tweet, Steve's riding the audax, but he's still on the trike.

When I spoke to him a few weeks ago he was looking to do the 400 helpers ride the following week :o ...which, quite frankly, I had a hard time digesting [he can't be serious, surely?] - mainly because he was pedaling solely with one leg and averaging about 30 miles a day.
He was philosophical then about his chances, and didn't seem at all worried if he could or couldn't manage it. His attitude [grinning] was, "if I can get up to 10 miles an hour, it would be good to do, wouldn't it!"

Watching that blue line creeping slowly eastwards has cheered my day considerably.

Bugger. He went past the end of my road about an hour ago. What a shame I wasn't aware of him coming this way.

I caught up with TG yesterday after dropping off some sponsorship goodies with one of his team.
I rode a couple of laps of the MK bowl with him before heading back to his place for a cuppa, an early finish for him due to the hospital appointment.
He was on the trike yesterday but was hoping to be back on two wheels very soon.
He was the same as ever, calm and carrying on.
