I presume that was the result of a vehicle transfer - so he's got a 25 - 30mph tailwind for the day.

GO STEVE!!!!!

We must be in with a good chance of A Gibbon today. 😃

Oh, don't start all that again (I hear some saying)  It was good fun while it lasted though.

A couple of laps of the bowl on the way to the hospital? Hope there aren't any new health issues...

Allez Steve!

This is where a bit of communication from the team would be very useful. Was Steve's hospital trip planned?

If he is seeing a medic, great as with a mega back wind he's been riding like he's glued to the road.

And I agree Wowbagger, communication from the team now would be perfect as we can see where he is but not why.

A quick look at Google Street View suggest outpatient department, so hopefully not a new issue...

It is a planned appointment to clear up the digestive issues.

Groan!

There's a FB post now about a gastroenterologist appointment. Also contains a good pun! :)

Hope they can sort him out!

Get well soon Steve!

Seemingly on the road again. Not bad turnaround for the hospital. I seem to get stuck there for hours and hours on end when waiting to see someone. Perhaps they are Steve supporters!

Just cheered him on as he went into Henlow, looked to be going well.
Glad he got off the A507 and chose a quieter route.

Miserable wet night, so much spray and glare from traffic.

Go Steve, you hero!

Indeed he is

Seems to be heading into Cambridge up the A428 - at least (here) the wind & rain has eased off, but there'll be lots of wet coming off the roads

I hope he speeds up again soon, otherwise a Godwin won't happen today.

Do we know where he is intending to get to tonight? And is there a lift to MK arranged?

I'm back home now, so could have offered, but as I've already driven 340 miles today - best if I don't...  :)

Given the time now and he's needing round about 35 miles for a Godwin, he'll be back in sleep deprivation country again. It's not really squaring the circle.

Looks like 202.5 miles without the transfer.

Where will the tracker wake up today?  I'm guessing Ely as the winds are forecast to be light today.
