ID this crankset, please.

I've just removed this crankset from a knackered bike. Any idea what it is? The left hand crank was something different, tho naturally of the same length! The chainring is Specialites Vento one, which has a bcd of 135 and according to the Specialites-TA website are used for old generations of Shimano and Campagnolo cranksets.

Looks very like a Campag Mirage of similar vintage I have attached to something or other.

Quite like Record Pista, but not quite the same, plus the ring is on the inside not the outside. I'd guess at a Campag double of some sort, with no outer ring.

edit: crosspost

Anything lower than Record has a 5-arm spider, but the absence of a logo makes pinning it down tricky. The difference between Chorus/Athena and lower end Veloce/Mirage is mainly the quality of the chainrings.

Looks vaguely like a Stronglight double, though it could be Campag.

Looks like a Strada

Like a pista but it had the deeper tab for a second ring.

Could be late 80's to early 1990's era Campag Centaur, Chorus, Athena or Croce D'Aune. At the time Croce D'Aune was second only to Record and came with self extracting bolts. The rest had covers and standard chain set bolts.

Hmm. So there's nothing conclusive to say exactly what this crankset is. Ah well, thanks for trying.

Ah well, thanks for trying.

No scoobie ::-)

But did find the stunning Velobase site whilst looking... :thumbsup:
I'd offer you some moral support - but I have questionable morals.

The 135 bcd, which is the current Campagnolo road size,  narrows it down quite a bit. It doesn't look like Campagnolo to me. My guess is Stronglight.
