Good news: I've finally registered some shareware that I'd used for 3362 days unregistered (on that computer, + 5 years on its predecessor).
Bad news: the chap who wrote the program died in 2006.
Good news: proceeds from registation go to his heirs. I was sent a code by his sister.
NO MORE NAGSCREENS!

Whereyagonnabe on Friday Clarion? I'm going to be heading Yorkwards on Friday afternoon as well :)

Clue - you're heading, AFAIK, to the same place.  As is Kim.  Altho some of you will be leaving it at different times to others, and probably returning to it at also different times.

Any votes on what you want for tea?

Food would be good - I'm really not fussy :)

My experience of root canal work is that it's not particularly painful (I think I have 7 root filled teeth).
Hope all goes well!

White rice and hyoscine, the way my digestive system's going.  If it doesn't sort itself out soon, I fear a DNF.   >:(

I have dumped some reminders into the bot for hyoscine to see if you can just take small and often doses to help.  Poor cat, you don't deserve this digestive-fail!  :-*

How are you with Miso?

My Good News
------------------
Dentist says I'm doing a really good job of looking after my (crappy) teeth. No deterioration.

Bad News
-------------
Two white fillings have fallen out and one amalgam is chipped and crumbling so needs patch or replace.

Good news: the kids are enjoying the learn french cd in the car.
Bad news: the songs on it have a backing track that is the musical equivalent of comic sans.

Which means, due to the nature of Sod's Law Of Couriers, that when you pop into the depot to pick your parcel up you'll get a quizzical look and then be told that it's out for delivery. This is, of course, despite you contacting the depot and telling them you'll be coming to pick it up.

At least, that's what seems to happen to me ...

Bad News: Been very ill this week and it's all been a bit upsetting and I'm now unplanning for stuff

Good News: I have a very lovely family already, I'm ok and I'm very lucky with what I already have in life. We need to remain grateful for the good things :)

Good news: after an absence of many months, we once again have shortbread biscuits in the office.

Bad news: after an absence of many months, we once again have shortbread biscuits in the office.  And they're not as nice as the ones we used to get.

Good News: by the end of the day I'll be reunited with my stolen car.

Bad News: It's going to cost me the best part of £1000 to get it back on the road.

Further Bad News: No sign of the bike  :(

Good news: Big Little Miss AWL has been selected for a swimming training "boot camp" when someone else couldn't make it.

Bad news: It's this weekend and Ms AWL has exams, so I'll have to go with Big Little Miss AWL if she decides to go*. It's the Long Itchington camping weekend this weekend.

* She correctly perceives that she was not a first choice and feels peeved about this, as she is faster than those ahead of her in the queue, but they are committee members' kids. Very cliquey is our swimming association.

Good news:

My daughter just emailed me a link to a Sky News bulletin in which she was interviewed as the CRUK representative to talk about the prostate cancer drug on which NICE have done a U-turn.

Bad news: By the time I'd got round to linking to it on this thread, she'd been edited out, the video had been changed and there was no point.

Good news: I'm back on the bike after a knee injury and spent a happy morning cycling around, taking photos for an article commission.

Bad news: This afternoon, however, I'm off to help a woman remove her daughter's profile from Facebook as she's sadly passed away.

Good news:  I've just hoovered the dust and crumbs and crud out of my keyboard.

Bad news:  I've just had to rummage through the dustbag to retrieve my '5' key.
