What is the state beyond super? Is it hyper or ultra? Whatever it is we need a higher level of twatishness for the recent crop of nominees.

I'd say ultra followed by hyper...

Whilst I am no classical scholar, I believe 'ultra' and 'super' are Latin, whist 'hyper' is Greek.

I think Ɯbertwat might be a good superlative.

I think I saw a programme about that on the television.

It sounds so old now, like Sega Megadrive and Megaupload.  Tera is obviously a million times better but has unfortunate connotations.  Still, you could say that IS are TeraTwats.

Bernard Ingham, for this letter to the Hillsborough campaigners in 1996: -

and for refusing to change his stance after the 2012 verdict.
Quote
Ingham was asked again about his comments in 2013. He told the Liverpool Echo he stood by his original remarks and also refused to apologise for saying Liverpool should "shut up" about Hillsborough.

Perhaps someone might want to ask him what his view is now.

Dunno about Super-Twat, Ingham is on the short-list for Cnut of the century

What a turd.

He's certainly an "interesting" character.  I suspect that he may well no longer be as sharp as he was, if you get my drift. I actually had lunch with him (it's a long story!) about 18 years ago when he had retired from the civil service and was touting himself around as a PR guru. I don't think I've ever encountered someone so absolutely rigid in their thinking and incapable of considering any other viewpoint. As I recall, in his view the internet would never catch on (this was in 1997, remember), newspapers would never face any competition from it and, best of all, journalists would never accept being contacted by email.

And John Mann.  For someone who you might think was well versed in the history of Zionism, he comes across as an ignorant (and abusive) jerk.

But, in his defence, he has always been an abusive jerk (watch his performances at the Treasury Committee) and he was talking to Ken Livingstone, who frequently deserves a mention in this thread

Bear Grylls

I don't see heroics I just see what the love-child of David Cameron and George Osbourne would look, and act, like.

I've resisted this rant so far.....but Bear Grylls really winds me up......good mates with Blair, now it seems Obama is a buddy....but the thing that really, really gets me is his championing of Nicky Gumble and his Alpha cult.....As a spiritually inclined agnostic I have been through the Alpha course, and basically it appears to be a Christian version of Scientology....very much about peer pressure and brainwashing and with no room for anything but blind adherence to it's dubious tenets

For me, it's his affected macho voice, his insufferable smugness, the fact that all his "extreme survival" programmes are filmed in the Milton Keynes snowdome or somewhere equally dangerous...no, it's none of those, it's just his stupid name.
