Yeah.  You dare.  Go on,  ask.

OK. Is anyone up for a ride out tonight?

Given the current conditions (lashing rain, freezing cold) - I think I'll be staying right here this evening  :(.

It's much the same here in Darlo!

I was born in London and I'm not coming either.

Sorry.

As I haven't heard from the other Darlo resident I am thinking I might be on my own tonight. Not a problem, shall battle the rain and wind on my own, then drink one of the beers out of the beer cellar.

Which I did, well not the beer bit (yet), but I went out in the rain and the wind. It was fun, but short.

Glad you had a good ride, I didn't get home until 7. Not enough hours in this week.

Any one up for this week? Still want to try that route out, it only involves a small amount of COR and, possibly, 2 pubs!

Yes, I'll be there. Could do with getting back for the 21.34, mind, or at least the 21.54 (I'd need a bike reservation for that).

I'm still on a sleep fest. I'm not sure if it's banking, or catching up, but it needs to happen.

Are you planning on doing that Pickhill ride?  I don't think I can do that, on my current form  :-\  How far is it again?

Actually, since I'd be aiming for the same trains as Deano, it'd be cutting it far too fine for me, time-wise.  Have fun!

Not, silly, in total! Pub (the one with great chips) is 5 miles from the end!

Well that was fun!

27.something miles, 14.7mph, 3 pints, chips and I met one of Dean's mates, who just happens to live 5 miles from here and rides a KTM disc braked road/gravel/cross bike. Oh and he is really quick!

I don't think I've ever averaged 14.7mph in my life  ;D

I don't know what I have done, but I appear to have, suddenly, gotten quick, quicker even than when my mileage was much higher! Even into the headwind I could keep up double figures! Still can't climb for toffee, though!

I rode to meet some friends tonight and it was freezing.  You needed some speed to keep yourself warm tonight I reckon.  :D

Let's keep this rolling, who's up for next week? I reckon I might be able to persuade Dave(notp), especially if it's not raining/windy (so would have had no chance last night!)

A shorter one next week, but not too much shorter, if the wind is in the right direction shall we return to Scorton?

If I can get Wednesday off next week I may fly up to say g'day. Won't be riding though - unless you go the long way and I go the very, very short one. So unfit it's ridunculous...

Hey Tiermat - any chance of making this Wednesday's ride a trip to the Station House in Durham?

Passing on the keys to the 'Durham Beer Club' : Graeme's "Bon Voyage" drinks at the Station House in Durham, Wednesday 15th June from 7pm.
