Always room for a Straggler, another 10 hours of convincing you to move over to ACME! List updates with yourself and AndyC33.

I meant to test ride the route over the Christmas Break but a severe gout attack followed by a buggered knee due to walking 'oddly' has kept me off the bike so I will be taking care of that over the New Years weekend. Everything is in hand and the only reason I really need to test the route is to check a couple of COR sections to make sure they are not overly ridiculous as I am not particularly keen to get covered in mud myself.

It would not be a MEMWNS type do without some COR though.

Just seen a long range forecast for next weekend. It's going to be COLD!!! We might finally get to test our winter camping gear! How many years have we waited???

okay, after putting off committing, I'm in for the full Epiphany experience ACME style.

I have had a chat with the nice people at The Compasses, Great Totham, the evening resting place, about parking the team van from the Friday evening. I will be taking the team van to Great Totham on Friday - there will be LOTS of room for bag drop services. There, I've said it, what you do with the information is up to you!

Folks, I did a test ride of the bits of the route I was not sure about, specifically the COR sections.

One of the sections is a Byway which is pretty clearly used by Trail bikes and 4WD vehicles. It is wet, muddy (in an Essex Clay kind of way), covered in rotting leaves and quite rutted...it was great fun. My risk assessment tells me that those who join me taking this lane will probably get a jolly good laugh at the expense of at least one person who falls victim to the slippery surface.

With that in Mind and the interest in seeing Bhoots Blingy Bike, myself and the 3 wisefolk will have a 'clean' version of the route, it adds on less than 1 km and is likely to be quicker.

The other section of COR is perfectly rideable and a great diversion.

I will speak to the Layer Fox tomorrow so look out for the Menu details.

I was there last year...I know exactly what I am dealing with. I think you need to embrace your inner Kanye West and become something like Kingye East to fit into the theme.
