Do you refer to the Nolan sisters or is the term "Nolans" a nickname for some apendage or two?

Isn't one of them the new Kerry Katona on the Iceland adverts?

I can see the agency ad now:

"Well-nourished thirtysomething woman needed to sell cheap frozen food to C2/DE consumers.  Must have cheery expression, mumsy appearance and ABSOLUTELY NO drink or drugs issues."

If you put Nolans and dorks together you usually get norks.
It is simpler than it looks.

Colleen, the youngest has aged well. She's the one in the Iceland advert Roger, she's 40 something BTW, same age as me. Did you see them on TV last night. The others look a bit past it. No I'm being unfair, Bernadette is OK, Maureen is, well Maureen but Linda, no thanks. Colleen.

OK, Take That get back together and make squillions.  I can understand that.  They were very popular and had a talented song writer who has written some classic pop songs.

I can therefore understand why Louis Walsh exhumed boyzone/westlife in order to follow suit (just as I understand why he created them in Take That's image originally).

However, where will it end?  I mean, the f***ing Nolans?  They were shite, they are shite and they will always be shite.

I don't remember anyone crying when they broke up, they were so far off the radar that I don't think anyone noticed (I actually thought they'd been playing in Blackpool forever).

The only memorable thing about the Nolans is that Shane Ritchie had a tattoo of "Colin" on his arse when a Thai tattooist misheard the name of his then wife (Colleen)

Maybe the Dooleys or Guys & Dolls will reform next?

Take That and Westlife are shite LEE, don't kid yourself. Classic pop songs ? "'I'm in the mood for dancing" in one of THE all time great disco songs like "Dancing Queen". If you do not remember "I'm in the mood for dancing" then you weren't there.

I think the Nolans got together again, as a one off I think, for their own benefit not that of a greedy promoter and manager.

Bros apparantly. The other member, the one who isn't a Goss, is now head of a major record label.

Brotherhood of Man?  Manhattan Transfer?  There's a whole army of cheese out there waiting to reform.

I've been driven to revisit the period. I think this classic Buck's Fizz performance conveys what the entertainment would be like on a cruise ship if the Nazis had won.

Coleen is the best looking now.....but Linda was the best in their prime.

They do have that B*Witched look about them - almond eyes, very pointed chins and thin lips.

Only two of B*Witched had it, I suppose; the one on the left is h-a-w-t.

It is perhaps a measure of the influence of this forum that when I first sighted this thread I immediately, with your edification in mind, googled "nolan porn". Before you all rush off, I'm afraid to report that I can find nothing that would add to this thread.

My entire family hate the Nolans; in childhood I was never allowed to watch them as the channel would be changed as soon as they appeared.

You see in the late 70s and early 80s I was much too rebellious to admit fancying Colleen, my Dad seemed to like The Nolans though.

As I say I only had fleeting glimpses of the Nolans when they were around so was unable to judge for myself, but I was led to believe that, for one thing, they were hellishly ugly. No doubt there is some lingering parental influence involved but I do find them ghastly to behold to this day.

The Nolans that is.
