Garmin 500 screen freeze
« on: 22 December, 2016, 05:47:57 pm »
Been working fine. Turned it on this morning, went onto the activities page to delete them, and the screen froze. The backlight is still on, it is stuck on 100% battery and 3:32am (it was in the house during the night so no temperature issue). Tried plugging it in to see if it charges. Nothing. No buttons work. Any ideas before I undo the screws?

Press the power and start buttons together until it switches off. If that works then switch back on and it should work ok. The Garmin is just a computer and will crash from time to time.

If that doesn't work, then leaving it to run out of charge, before recharging and switching on does the trick.
I am often asked, what does YOAV stand for? It stands for Yoav On A Velo

Thanks. Just checked and it has ran out of juice (under 18 hours). Charging up nicely now.
