Is that a flint bridge?!

English Heritage says:

Quote
The bridge is built of flint and stone rubble, with plain parapets, and the edges of the arches are made of brick.

Seen during a brief pause during a $Silly_Train_Adventure:

Just a simple rail-over-road bridge.

Same railway line crosses a very flooded Tay:

Perth's embankment has some Flanimals as residents: (with a road only-just-over river bridge in background)

An actual bridge for billy goats, joining two separate pens in the outdoor area at a local (excruciatingly expensive) kids soft play place

I took a picture of a bridge yesterday but it came out proper rubbish. Luckily, SwarmCatcher did a much better job:

I think the raised railway into Windsor is longer than that in total

It is about 1.6 miles from the M4 to Windsor station, though not all of that is the bridge (AFAICT the bridge runs about 1.25 miles.) The Tay bridge is 2 miles long in the bit across water and another quarter of a mile on arches like the Windsor bridge.

When you cross the Forth Road bridge ensure you do it onna bike.
I've crossed it innumerable times in a car & it's quite impressive.
Only crossed it once onna bike & was fascinated by the engineering & scale in close up: & at dawdling speed it was a more intimate experience.

Don't cross t'other bridge onna bike  ;)

Bridge over the River Wye in Ashford in the Water near Buxton. The pen opposite is where the farmers would herd their sheep and make them swim across to their lambs on the other side for a wash.
Nowadays the bridge is only a foot bridge or bikes. It was pretty full and fast yesterday. I wondered how often it was Ashford under Water as some of the properties are very close to the bank.

There's a blog post here which links this thread to the grammar pedranty threads. Who'd have thought that could happen?
