BN.  I bought the ferry tickets.
GN.  I really wasn't looking forward to the drive.
BN.   I bought £xc euros.
GN.   Relax and a bit of hill riding in Llandysul
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

Been there!

Also, a train that wasn't due to stop between Basingstoke & Reading, but inexplicably sat around waiting for the local stopper to fill up & pull out, then crawled along behind it, waiting outside Bramley, Mortimer, & Reading West stations.  I only got on it because it was due to go first. Otherwise, I'd have got the stopper & got off at Reading West.

BN: driving on my way back from Hampton Court around the M25 an Irish artic pulled out as I was overtaking using the signal-go approach

GN: managed to avoid a coming together by application of the brakes, nothing immediately on my rear

MGN: The glaze and consequent squeek building up on my pads as a result of a normal gentle driving technique appears to have gone  ;D

Good: I've seen my face for the first time in over 12 months

Bad: I've shaved off my beard. I don't know who's staring back at me in the mirror :'(

I've just thrown my razor away. Now it's gone, I know I want it back. Work, friends  and family can fuck right off, it's already growing back!

GN: My nephew has returned the panniers and bar bag I leant him to go on holiday with his dad.

BN: He's keeping the bike he picked up at the same time.

GN: That saves me trying to sell it at, inevitably, a price higher than anyone is willing to pay but less than it's worth to my memories, and as we've had two bikes off them (actually, as I'm writing I remember a third!), it seems a fair deal!

GN: Wallet full of credit cards, bunch of keys, stack of CDs and driving licence all present and correct.

BN: I accidentally left my door unlocked when I went out to buy train tickets this morning

BN: Someone noticed and opened it

GN: It was the Postman not a thief

GN: He used it to deliver a parcel which otherwise I would have had to get from the sorting office on Monday :)

BN: The Things are starting with 6 weeks outstanding housework.

Does it have the wooshy red lights at the front of the bonnet and a stuntman crouched in the rear footwell to do the steering?

Afraid not. Just a red car with a nose sticking up out of the bonnet, and a loud engine.
