Putin has got so used to playing Big Man in his own back yard he seems to have missed the fact that there are places he can't invade or send organised hooligan gangs to. It appears that the IOC, possibly for the first time in recent years, has discovered some honesty and integrity. I am guessing that the decades of bribery that were uncovered, along with FIFA, have pushed them back into line.
