Are you sure it's not actually day 124/343?

Go Steve,

Hope the extra sleep helped.

Hope you have a good day Steve.  At least it should be dry.

Early turn for home, I wonder what the plan is.
Fast progress though, 13mph average despite cycling into the wind this morning and having stopped for an hour :-)

Go Steve

Yeah. I've been keeping an eye out as he approached MK to see if he could manage to miss home.
He couldn't.

You seem to have mistimed your last post and missed notice of a late night excursion...

Steve, you diamond - bloody amazing - this is so darn tough and I suffer day by day just following you - keep at it mate, you have what it takes and you know it, deep down.

Ignore any doubt us armchair voyeurs may express - we are so far off what you are doing, we know nothing :-)

Just keep at it and you know you WILL succeed!

Damn, this is amazing what you are doing!

WELL DONE!

Tomorrow the forecast is for there to be a great deal of wind from the south west. Perhaps he is making hay whilst it's dark, or something.

Peering into the Ivanoscope shows Steve stopped in Peterborough, about 60 miles from MK. That should give roughly a Godwin for the day.

Go Steve!

New comment from Steve on Strava - carbs back in.

"Going better after a good sleep. Diet is going to plan and am able to ride further between feeds. Re-introducing carbs seems to make a difference. 4 servings of porridgeon top of my protein and veg for breakfast is my favourite way to start the day."

GO Steve!

Frayed knot.
187.9 miles

Basil, your knot may not be as frayed as you think. Steve's uploads to Strava are currently being truncated at midnight (by which time he had indeed ridden 187.9 miles), but he finished in Peterborough around 1:30am, which has not yet been reflected in the Strava data. Expect that to be part of the beginning of today's ride upload (which will probably happen tomorrow).

By my calculations Steve is needing a Godwin plus each day now as he owes his distance kitty so many lost kms plus the bit that Kurt is going to put on the record.  He also needs to add some against the Kiwi who's starting Jan 2016.

I've had to chase down lost kms this year twice for my Mileater- it's hard work.

Yup, I reckon about 210 mpd for the Godwin and maybe around 215 mpd for the Searvogel.

Plus a bit more for contingencies. That how I work my mileage which compared to Steve's is small but given its fitted around a full-time job leaves little room for error if you are chasing 30,200km plus.

Thanks Jo,  I hadn't realised that before.
