Getting rid of the Skype smiley in messages
« on: 21 October, 2018, 03:46:24 pm »
This has probably been asked before, but a search threw up nothing. Anyhoo...
All my Skype messages have a smiley included in them & I can't see how to get rid of or changing the smiley. I've googled and not really found anything that helpful, so I was wondering if anyone here has managed to get rid of it?

The smiley isn't added to the message, it's just there to give a reaction to the message. When you click on it, you get to choose the smiley.

Yebbut I don't want one at all. When I read a friend's message it's there in his posts

You can't get rid of it. I agree it's a shite design as it looks like there's a smiley after each message but in reality, there's not - just the option to add one.

Pretty much what my googling told me. Crazy!
