Strider Brakes

The brakes on a mates strider are starting to lose effectiveness. I can't seem to find any info on how to replace what ever the equivalent of brake blocks is, nor can I work out where to buy the parts necessary.

Can anyone point me in the right direction ?

Google produces a decent number of results if you spell it Strida ...

(Seem to be different braking systems depending on the version of the bike, so I won't try to second-guess which links might be helpful.)
