Scabs and hydrocolloid plasters
« on: 16 October, 2008, 10:53:14 am »
It's been a week since my tarmac interface and my arm's got a lovely scab on it.
I've been really very good about not picking it before it's ready, but it seems to want to come off before it's really ready though!
It looks like the scab is shrinking but it seems to be exposing some areas which look like they're not really ready for exposure yet.

Of course I realise now that what I should have done is put a hydrocolloid plaster on to begin with and then I wouldn't have had a big scab and a scar later.
Question is, is it worth me putting a hydrocolloid plaster on it now to try to protect what's being exposed by the peeling scab, or is it way too late?
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

Pick the scab, pick the scab, pick the scab...
