I've found countless half-eaten takeaways and discarded bottles of suspicious liquid in our hedge over the years.  Also the occasional parcel hidden by $shite_courier, and nests belonging to  a) assorted tweety things  b) wasps.

Yesterday I found a chunk of hedge hidden in the hedge.  (Turns out that in re-molishing the crumbling garden wall on Saturday, the builders had severed the trunk of a substantial section in order to make the bricks fit and then simply wedged it back in place so it didn't look like they'd just amputated a big chunk of hedge.   )

That's about as exciting as it gets, though.

went for a windy jolly this mrning, and within 5 miles I came across this, propped up on the pavement outside someones gates, and gates were shut, so I thought Hmmmm, so whiizzed bac home, got the old landrover out, and  retrieved said item, adjusted thee blades, got changed again and back out on the bike with the idea of doing a spot of whale watching, then on the way to the river i spotted these, most useful.

Didn't see the whale, so after 1/2 hr came home and cut front and back lawn with new mower.  :)

Tomorrow you will go to the garden centre and find a beached whale.

Slightly OT, went 'up town' to day, to a show, and got off the train around 11.40pm, walking home, and swambo wonders why I stop, as I bend down and pick up a £20 note, that smells distinctly like cannabis.  Oh well, how sad, never mind.

Haha! No! Don't want to get 'done' for using a handheld communication device, wilst on the public highway. Bit heavy for texting with your thumb.

^^^^^ I found an old-ish (2000) 10p coin by the side of the road whilst out for a hobble yesterday, wasn't sure what it was at first as the silver coating was all gone.  Seems to be a nice talisman, battered but almost functional, a bit like me at the moment

Out on a club 'weekday' run to Lingfield, and saw this in the leaves at the side of the road on a steepish climb. so peeled off, popped back, picked up, and pedaled on>  seems a well made one, and the first 2-3 pumps, blew out water, so it probably been there a week or two. Photo'd at the lunch time pub stop, the Greyhound.

Not on a ride but, yesterday as I walked with Mrs F through a shop in Swindon, I looked down and though "Bingo!" as I spied a folded £20 note on the floor. I picked it up and it felt a bit thick- turned out to be 8 £20 notes and a tenner! £170 fer christs sake :o

It either belonged to someone who had more money than sense and wouldn't miss it or it belonged to someone who was by then feeling physically sick or soon would be when they dicovered the loss so I took me off to customer services and lodged it with them in case the loser was retracing their steps.

My good deed for the day done, I took me off to the football where my team got its arese kicked four nil :'(

I found a lump hammer.  But then I found a man with a theodolite, so I decided to leave it alone.

I'm trying to think of the correlation between the two.
