Title: Third party insurance
Post by: Canardly on 01 May, 2018, 07:57:20 pm
Now that LCC have stopped providing world wide 3rd party insurance for individuals which was hugely cost effective, can people suggest an alternative?

Don't know how you sort your house insurance out but I use pedal cover and when I renewed it I noticed third party insurance and breakdown cover (taxi fare) had been added to it. I've still got CTC  though.

ok i just noticed my LCC insurance ran out in January (oops)

LCC don't do standalone insurance anymore
I couldn't find a similar deal (£9.50 a year) here's what I did find

Pedalsure Bronze, delete the bike you have to add and select the Bronze package.  This seems to be A&E insurance and so is more expensive £60.97.  There is also a "liability" version that only offers liability for £12.22 a year.  But there is no legal cover whatsoever.  Maybe this is actually like what I had before from LCC suppliers

Cycling UK, individual membership.  Currently £45

British Cycling, "Ride" membership.  Currently £39

What I'd like is just insurance with a number I can call after an accident.  And no membership of some organisation with charitable aims and a crappy magazine
