Title: Minor Counties Cricket
Post by: Basil on 27 May, 2022, 08:06:21 pm
Ooh exciting.
1st X1 50 over game between Wales and Wiltshire will be played at Llandysul in three weeks time.  The loveliest ground in the west.
The pavilion had better stock up on booze!   ::-)

Two years on and Wales play at Llandysul again.
This time v Herefordshire in the T20 cup.

Seems it's not called 'Minor Counties' any more.   It's now NCCA.
National Counties Cricket Association. 🏏

28th April. We'll have gone home. But they are on the lookout for a local photographer for the day!

Well, that was enjoyable. Very, very lucky with the weather. Warm, sunny and dry all day for the first time in ages.  Today it's back to Full Welsh wind, rain and cold.
I was somewhat surprised that there were two matches, but it seems that this is the Group stage of the competition.
The first game in morning was very good and close. (Herefordshire winning with three balls to go.  In second match in the afternoon Wales were dreadful and were absolutely thrashed.
Doesn't look good for progression to the knock out stage.

Yes. They were.
In this case.  Wales 0 points.  Herefordshire 4.
