Title: Chainring - Velosolo / Gebhart opinions
Post by: Pickled Onion on 05 July, 2022, 09:39:55 pm
It looks like I've lost a couple of teeth so fairly urgently need a new chainring

Goldtec seem to be sold out of sensible sizes.

Need 43 tooth 135 pcd 1/8"

The only ones I can find are Gebhart and Velosolo. Never heard of either of them. Any good? Any other suggestions?

I have had a Gebhart 3/32” 44t 135BCD chainring on my Pomp commuter for ages. It does the job fine without much eccentricity (which might be the crank).

I've had a Velosolo on my fixie for ages. No sign of wear at all.

Either of those are ok. Nothing on eBay? Stronglight, TA, generic

Yes, the Gebhart arrived (after some to-and-fro with the seller saying "are you sure you want 135?") and it seems pretty decent. Probably better than the Goldtec it replaced.
