HH 1 recently asked for a glass of water.

"How much water do you want?" says I.

There's a funny bit in the book of "Das Boot" when for some reason the universal unit on board the U-boat becomes "the jet", and is used for everything.  I'll have a jet of coffee, we have 400 jets of fuel left, the nearest convoy is 15 jets away etc.

A funny bit in Das Boot ?  I must've missed that whilst waiting for the next depth charge to detonate.
