Title: TDF 2024
Post by: MattH on 25 October, 2023, 07:16:40 pm
Route now announced, with a final in Nice as Paris was already booked.

Interestingly, the last day is a time trial - so no champagne swilling promenade followed by a sprint finish.

Went up that in 1985 on my (unladen) touring bike.  Three hours up, 45 minutes back down ;D

Cdl Bonette  is the highest point in TdF history.  ('parently been featured a few times)

Nice to have TdF end with a iTT.

ETA. 2802 metres;  includes the minor road C1 to reach the Cime de la Bonette (AFAIA).

The highest point of the D64 is the col, only the minor C1 goes higher. Are they riding on the C1?

Good to see they're 'putting the band back to gether', for Cav to go again.  Michael Mørkøv and Davide Ballerini joining Cav at Astana.
