;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
She's here!
She's sleek. She's sweet. She's refined. She's nimble.
She's shinny black, with metallic silver bits at the joints.
And she's ours (finally).
She'll be making her first public appearance next Saturday on the C&M Hilly 50 (weather permitting)
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Is that the full carbon jobbie that goes for a 5 figure sum? :o
It's absolutely stunning.

It's absolutely stunning.
She is about 2/3 carbon (the rest is titanium) and was only four figures
She's got 36/40 spoke wheels rather than the blingy 16 that is standard for this model.
-
nice :)
-
You. Jammy. Gits. ;D
That is quite possibly the only tandem in the entire world evah that's even nicer than our Josephine.
You're going to have a hell of a lot of fun with it :D
-
Dirty.
Filth.
I wanna Santana!!!!! :'( :'( Waaaah!
*throws toys out of pram*
-
Amazing machine, though I'm not jealous cos I love Tina.
Where did you get it from? JD?

I am now moderately glad I can't get to the hilly 50 this year.
Much as I would like to see the new tandem the sight of it disappearing into the distance up the road would not be good for morale.

I dont even like tandems but that *is* rather lovely!!

No disc brakes?

No disc brakes?
No disc brake.... yet. The plan is to use the hilly 50 as test run to see if it we need to add one. Here's hoping the hilly 50 is on! (Sorry you hear you can't make it Matthew - we appreciated having your wheel to hang on last year!)
If we were going to do luggage carrying touring then we certainly would have got 3 brakes. But then, we would have done a lot different, such as getting a proper rack rather than the obscene* Tubus Airy. :)
(* - Ruth @ JD Cycle's own words!)

That is rather delicious! Must resist.... ;D
-
Ooh, that's lovely :D.
-
That is ridiculously drool worthy
-
From $11395.
So with duty and VAT, that's only just under five figures in real money :o :o :o
-
slobber slobber drool drool licky licky drool.... :P

"Downgrading" the wheels saves a surprising amount of $. (a little of which then went on the SON, Cyo. saddles.... but still well below list 8) )

Excuse me, Sir, I think perhaps you should be in the NSFW thread.

That tandem is having a profound effect on me...
...curiously similar to the curious effect Annie's new MTB had on me.
-
Well, go and deal with that effect in private somewhere ;)
It's the effect on your bank balance you wanna watch out for.

Stop drooling dear next new bikes for me mwhahahahaha
-
Wow, that looks fantastic - I wants one !
(Unfortunately, being a poor impoverished bank worker - also known as scum of the earth - this is several times more than I can afford ! Will have to continue to make do with our 12 year old Dawes Galaxy) :(

*Rubs thighs in a thoroughly provocative Vic Reeves kind of way*
*Then, relaxes......*
-
As correctly deduced by the Vic Reeves impersonator ;) her first Ride Out will be tomorrow. Pootle out to Windsor on Saturday (http://yacf.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=15200.0)
-
Does that tilting head on one side and drooling from gaping mouth like Homer Simpson thing whilst saying "glaaaarrr"
Nice bike. Well done you Things!
-
Great second ride out today. The B&M Cyo is a great light. Wonderful pickup of the profile of the road. Possibly could use a little more throw down the road, a bit more fettling perhaps :D Once again so glad we went for the SON. A last minute decision, but a good one.
Here's a couple photos we got whilst waiting in Cobham

heh, it's His & her's Team Pro & Finesse.
(AFAICT one of the last three black Finesse saddles in the country, as the supplier has run out of them!)
