Hurray! I've just made a trip to buy some sarsaparilla, which I haven't drank or even seen since I was a kid. It still tastes lovely, and as indescribable as ever.
Now, how will it mix with vodka?
-
Great stuff :)
Dark rum (or tequila) might go better though.
-
I only have vodka...
(Well, I have Bacardi and whisky, but the Bacardi isn't mine, and mixing sarsparilla and whisky doesn't bear thinking about)

Dandelion and Burdock. You don't see that so often these days either. I remember the 'pop man' coming on his lorry and collecting bottle to get the money back on them. Oh the memories.

Nowadays you're more likely to find it labelled as root beer.
It's still popular in the Far East.
My cousin once asked me why I drunk it, as it tastes like toothpaste.
-
Um... what kind of toothpaste does he use?
It mixes rather well with vodka, by the way. My tester so far refuses to mix it with Bacardi.
