Title: The silence is worrying me
Post by: pcolbeck on 20 May, 2008, 11:47:07 am
For the last few weeks we have had the sound of sheep and lambs coming across the field. On a night if you went outside it was very loud. Today I haven't heard a single bleat. I think they might be sneaking up on me.

Someone in East Sussex is creating a Grand Clone Army of sheep, and you are right to be afraid.  I suggest laying in stocks of border collies and mint sauce.

When I was stationed in N. Africa we had this once a year... Lamb, lamb everywhere and in stereophony; and from one day to the next, nothing; only tagines.

About this time of year the lambs have grown up to the stage where they no longer run bleating to Mum at every opportunity - the lamb equivalent of the independent teenager stage.

In that case they're either still in bed, or they're on MySpace posting pics of themselves looking all emo with their fringes in their eyes.
