The cold north wind blowing today tells me it's almost time to break out my Assos 851 Jacket.
Patience my pretty, patience...

I was just about to start a similar thread. 13°C and it feels a lot colder. Slate grey sky with raid drifting in the air. Dez keeps complaining that it's cold and we need the heating on. I just tell him to go for a bike ride and put on another jumper.

Clarion put the heating on last night when I was sitting at the the table wearing a winter fleece, gloves and a hat :(

Frost on the cars this morning....

I slipped a thin Rohan merino baselayer under my YACF ls summer jersey this morning. And, I wore full finger gloves for the first time since March.

Well someone had to say it. ;D

Yep it's getting rather chilly again, has anyone seen Autumn ???
long finger gloves, leg warmers, base layer & long sleeve jersey for this afternoons ride + bib shorts of course :o
-
Despite the chill there did seem to be a good number of cyclists out this morning. The on or two who were wearing shorts did stand out as being strange in a best not establish eye contact sort of way ;)

I wear the same drawers all year! ;) ;) ;D

Time to start on the winter beard.

It's down to low single figures here at night already, it's high up on the edge of the peaks though.
During the big freeze just gone it was minus 10 and snow on the ground for 2 months, Gordy down the road from me in "the lowlands" had to wait for weeks and weeks for his snow ration.
*smug*

On looking out of the window this morning, I pondered wearing my Endura Air Defence softshell... But I'm glad I chose not to - I would have boiled.

Yes, it's pretty nippy - but once the wind changes it should pick up again.
Predominantly SW-erlies, remember.

Ah well, if you will live that far North. ;D
I'm still commuting in shorts and mitts, although I'm wearing long sleeved jerseys, which on some days (like today) can be a bit too warm.

The problem with this time of year is that it's pretty cold when I set out but warms up. Yesterday morning I had full longs, gloves and overshoes and I was comfortable. For the last hour or so before I got home at 1:30 I found myself to be rather overdressed.
Still, it was nowhere near warm enough to do a three and a half hour ride in shorts.

Hold your breath! It's the mosquito apocalypse!
