You just need to check the gid (group ID) of someone here for the YACF team ID.

Yay! Mine's working. And, thanks to the advice from Feline et al, I managed to sort out my CC sig as well :)
That's got it, once I'd remembered square brackets. I'm not setting a goal, but as I've yet to get out this year the idea of progress is moot.

OK. I'm struggling. Where do I need to put the square brackets? I tried copying Feline's code but it didn't work.
Doh
You must think I'm really stupid. :-[
Thanks.
Oh hang on, now what's happened?
Thanks Feline.
Isn't it time you went to bed, young lady?

The password for yacf on mycyclinglog is: 982701
(the search on the forum kind of works)
I've noticed something odd about the site. I've put two rides into it so far, one of 62km and one of 57km. And yet it's giving my total distance as 117km. Can anyone explain this?
Don't panic, the ticker is being updated less often than it used to be so it can take a few hours for the results to show. Wait for then next update and it should be there.or some dodgy rounding on the web service for the ticker?
My charge has entered his first 6 miles for YACF :D. I bought him a cateye velo 5 for Christmas and he's really enjoying knowing how far he rides . His school is 2.75 miles but at the moment he only does it in one direction. If I get my transport sorted out he'll be able to do 5.5 miles 2 or 3 times a week which is not bad for 7 :).
I'm keeping him off the forum as long as I can. The parental control on his computer should help! Although if he manages to find it unlocked and make himself an administrator again he might find the forum before he changes all the other settings, who knows? ;DMy charge has entered his first 6 miles for YACF :D. Has anyone added a BorisBike to their list of bikes? If so, what info have you entered? How about 3 spd boat anchor? ;D
testing mine ...
You can also be in more than one team at once so are welcome on the CycleChat team if you post there. This year we beat the Aussies of Bicycle Victoria Forums with the help of some YACFers (Eck, Clarion, Vorsprung etc). Last year thr Aussies won. It's the cycling version of the Ashes.
So if I join, which lot do I sign up with, as I'm a cycling Victorian in England ???
I don't know about anyone else, but we're logging turbo sessions in the only logical way: 0km rides of type Indoor:trainer, of the relevant duration.
Bugger, looked at the yacf group rankings and realised that if I do a longer commute every day I can easily climb up from my lowly tenth place. This doesn't bode well, it's not a competition (which I'd definitely lose come big audax season.). Does anyone have any recommendations of how many kilometers I can enter for an evening of playing bike polo?

*looks at own current position in the rankings* ... Ha!
I'll be thrilled to finish in the top 20, but I'm not holding my breath.
... I shall have to watch out for you on the logging websites.
I is slacking :o
Btw, bobb, you're really getting the miles in, I notice.

That's it for a couple of weeks. I've got just over two weeks mileage credit though.
Anyone who overtakes me in the list - don't get too used to it - I shall be going mental when I get back! :P
Dammit, this morning's ride took me to 998km for the year to date. Was hoping I'd tip over the 1,000km mark. Oh well, I'll definitely pass it on the way home tonight.
d.
OK: who's just joined? >:( ;)
I've done over 40 miles today but dropped a place!
I noticed that too, but I can never find this thread when I want it - I have to wait till someone else posts in it and it comes up on new posts!
TEH BOBB IS BACK bobb's log (http://www.mycyclinglog.com/ride_detail.php?uid=20562&lid=737148) AND THIS TIME IT'S PERSONAL INJURY. Hope it clears up soon mate and you're back to banging in the miles :)
I must have missed something: what have you done to your leg, bobb?
I must have missed something: what have you done to your leg, bobb?
I have been suffering from unbelievable pain in both thighs. Last week when we were in Skye, it was so bad, Kirst made me go and see a doctor!
I have no idea what causes it - I have had it before, but nowhere near as bad. It only ever happens when I go to Edinburgh. So I'm obviously doing something there that I don't do at home :P
Perhaps it only comes on when you're away from the bike.
Back of legs or front thigh muscles?
Joined up to this a couple of weeks ago, it's nice to be able to look back and what I've been up to. Not sure I fancy putting it in my sig here though, I'm nowhere near the mileages of you lot :)
I've managed to get 500km of head start on him, but, given the rate he was going before he went away, that might not be a very safe margin.
Hope the bobbster is soon back awheel properly, though.
My bikejournal membership has expired so I looked again at MCL. As was the case last time, I cannot log in despite going through the password reset process and ensuring that all details are correct. Has anyone else had this problem?

I think it is last year's total so don't know why its showing as odd for you.

This feels a bit confusing to write but I'll try. The resolution doesn't seem to be that high on the lines. It jumps in blocks on the ticker, so you may be just far enough ahead for it to have jump back the next block, meaning it looks further away.
No, Ted, I still don't get it.
I passed 2500 miles for the year today and, for the moment, Mycyclinglog gives the illusion that I've overtaken Auntie Helen. However, she has to log all of Berlin to London and that is not to be sneezed at.That has now been done. 701 miles. Plenty of sneezing has been happening with me whilst I pootled through the Fatherland and the Land of Cheese and Cream Cakes... Just gotta wait for Lock's sig app to update!

Gosh.
Just realised that at current rate of progress, I will probably surpass last year's total distance by the end of July.
Cracked the 2000 mile mark for the year ;DYes, I had noticed that. We only need a decent 500 mile per month cyclist to sign up and we are well on the way to passing them, even though they have lots more riders than we have.
Anyone else noticed we could overtake the BV Forum group if the weather gods are kind to us ....?

That's ten times my total for the first five days of June. Not a great start to the month.

Wow, I did wonder how it was that I'd managed to catch you in the league table.
(Comment not to be taken as a challenge... unless you want to. :demon: )
d.
Annoyingly, I won't quite make it to 1,000km this month...
I'm just trying to get into the top 50! Guess I should ride a bit more???
Hmm. Quite a bit of catching up to do! :(
On the MyCyclingLogs signature graph thingy, what's the orange line, that only some people have, mean?
The red line is obviously where you're supposed to be, if on target to finish, and doing a uniform rate all year.
Is the orange line something like where you were last year?
My first month with over 500km, and just passed 2,000km for the year.
Alternatively, we could lobby Fungus to update his 4500 miles year to date, and then we needn't worry about it..........according to mycyclinglogs, he hasn't been out yet.
(not that it's a competition or anything) ;)
Slowly climbing up the rankings - you're next Fuzzy :demon:
That has pushed her overall average up to almost 30mph though. ;DNo, I just had a good tailwind and decided to make the most of it. ;D
(Looking at her previous journeys, I think a decimal point may have been misplaced slightly).
Expect to catch me very soon - I'm on child-entertainment duties for most of the summer, which only really leaves weekends (and going away this weekend, without bike - to Essex, which seems to be where several of the top-rankers live... )Slowly climbing up the rankings - you're next Fuzzy :demon:
I'm slowly creeping up on Cudzoziemiec as well. :demon: ;D
... so that gave me a target of 16,000. ...
I've done a mutli-K mile bulk entry too, but Ifilled in the bulk entry spreadsheet with the correct dates for each ride, (copied from so bikejournal ) hopefully it won't mess up monthly stats.
Ah, I'll be heading up in that direction some time on Saturday, but probably fairly late and at an unpredictable time. We've been told to "bring stout shoes so we can walk the dogs." I didn't know people used the word stout like that! So if you see some people with two dogs, a greyhound and a black furry thing, and one of them (the people, not the dogs) is waving at you, that's me. OTOH I might be waving at some random bearded cyclist. :D
In some places they do year-month-day, just to confuse things even more
In some places they do year-month-day, just to confuse things even moreThat's not to confuse things - that's the correct ISO way!
Cudzo, when do you leave Essex? I'm in the Fatherland at the moment but return next Friday - I need to know whether to look out for a man walking some dogs in stout shoes!I was there from Friday evening to Monday morning. The dogs went barefoot cos it was much sunnier and warmer than anticipated, so all the fields had dried out. :) Saw lots of cyclists including one who I think was wearing a black YACF jersey (but I was quite a distance away - in a field of peas with some dogs! - so may be mistaken) but no women on recumbents!
Question about what's acceptable to enter on Mycyclinglogs:
Are estimated mileages ok? That is, I had no computer so can't give a precise figure, but it's a journey I do regularly so know to a mile or two anyway.
I've updated my Sem Fed miles now :D

There I was. 700km ahead of smutchin who's slowly closing the gap(500 now I notice), and 1000km behind someone. Nothing going to happen anytime soon. And you come along.
I tell you, it is ON!

Is your goal for the year really a hundred thousand kilometers? :o ??? ;D
4692.42 cycled to date that after i added 12.56.
but my ticker on my sig says 4192 i know that what i have added won't show up yet but where is the other 500 km gone
I thought you might have been including rocket-propelled miles. ;DIs your goal for the year really a hundred thousand kilometers? :o ??? ;D
I may have initially set it up with an unrealistically high number. ;D
I went past my target of 8000 miles on Saturday's WARTY - somewhere between the tea room and the pub. Seeing as there are still 4 months of the year left I've upped it to 12000. I never thought that would be possible at the start of the year!

I'll guess: Trusty Rusty Steed Thing.
Is I write?
Ah - if you'd asked me, "What sort of bike has Wow got?" I would have said "He mostly rides a Thorn except when he's on the tandem." Not sure I would have identified the exact model, but I do know this is the one with the mighty Rohloff!

Our tandem is also a Thorn, equipped with a Rohloff.
Can't get into it this morning, which is a bit annoying.
It seems not to be responding this morning.
I'm up to 16th place as of today. Currently involved in a 3 way battle with JonBuoy and Feline with Smutchin not far behind.
Someone over the road drew my attention to the fact that mycyclinglog needs some money putting in the meter, due to a loss of advertising revenue. I've donated as I can't cope with the prospect of finding a third logging site (was traumatised when cyclogs disappeared!).
Info is on the home page if anyone else is interested. http://www.mycyclinglog.com/home.php

You need to put this code (minus the CODE tags) into your signature.Code: [Select]
Should give you something like this: -

Obviously change the distance value from 1000 to whatever you want and change the units to km from mi if you want it in kilometres. :)
thanks for your help I tried changing the 1000 but it doesnt seem to have worked but at least I have a sig now will it reset on 1/1/13 or would I need to do it manually

It'll take a while to change. I suspect they don't interrogate the server too often to update it, and just used cached information, so it doesn't cause an excessive load on it. It will probably be correct tomorrow.
Done, thanks for pointing it out Baggy :thumbsup:Their target of $500 has been reached - phew!

MCL isn't working for me right now (or for isup.me)
From midnight tonight there will be 50 days left to the end of the year. 1200 hours. 72000 minutes.
I reckon I have to spend 9% of that time cycling to reach my revised annual target.
The observant among you (such as Basil) will notice that I have filled me green bar, and, in a year marred by illness, injury and surgery, I have reached my target of 13000km. I am, of course, very proud of my achievement. Next stop: Matching last year's 14044.63km.
It's good to have a challenging target. Perhaps I made mine too easy.
Currently drinking a Bishop Nick ale whilst awaiting a curry
Bobb, coming on the club run Sunday then?
I need 7.9 miles per day.You mean I have to 115 miles a week to stay ahead of you? Yipes!
I'm doing over 23 miles on my commute. ;D
That should put a slightly bigger dent in things.
You mean I have to 115 miles a week to stay ahead of you? Yipes!
I presume this commute is a new thing, otherwise I can't see how I ever got ahead of you.
c) Stay ahead of TimO!
Is Endomondo like Strava? I find the latter to be quite inaccurate, and a faff to use in the dark/bad weather etc. If Endomondo's better, I might switch to that.
Well I'll give Endomondo a go - it is good that it will upload directly from my Garmin rather than me having to type things in. Mind you, I often have to do slight things to the figures on my Garmin (like when I cycle to church and have to go at walking pace through the pedestrian precinct - I usually knock a minute off my time for that), and I suppose Endomondo won't let me do that! Still it might be worth a go - I'll perhaps start using it in 2013.
Well done :)
I'm behind on logging as usual but I'm well past 15,000 miles now
I admire your fortitude which enables you to go out every day, rain or shine. These days, unless it's a pre-arranged ride, I don't bother to leave the nice warm house if it's raining!

Done it!
At 1.57, near Temple Sutton School. The return trip from Wakering Stairs was about the toughest 8 miles of the entire year, I think. Strong headwind bearing the gift of a stinging rain. I was very surprised I managed to keep my average speed over 10mph.
8000 is a very impressive total. I've never managed that in a year and I don't suppose I ever will.I'm not hopeful of managing it again! It was helped by having a job where I could cycle with the children which are rather rare.
I've spent 756 hours 33 minutes and 58 seconds on bikes this year, which is my second highest ever. 821h 51m 56s in 2010 for 7690 miles is my record, even though I did more miles in 2007.
Looking back at the decidedly close-run thing that my annual target race became once I'd increased it by 1000 miles, I'm feeling a little on the smug side. That extra 1000 miles took me 49 days. I might just have to have another beer.
16638 for me. Will prob grab a quick 20 first thing in morning and that will be my lot. Not been on bike all weekend, spending too much time running.
You need 414km before midnight to catch me. ;)16638 for me. Will prob grab a quick 20 first thing in morning and that will be my lot. Not been on bike all weekend, spending too much time running.
I'm wondering how far you'd have hone last (ok strictly speaking, this) year, if you hadn't done any running, and had just concentrated on the cycling. :o ;D
There's been nothing since the WARTY for me, and at most a few miles may go on today, if I pop to the shops, but there isn't going to be any significant difference now. I just need to decide what to set my limit to next year. 6666 miles is a nice number (although ought to be easily achievable), but 666 miles per month (ie 7992 miles for the year) is numerologically potentially more irritating to any extreme fundies. ;D
... and - amazingly! - stay ahead of TimO (probably only because other things have prevented him riding as much as he would like) ...
Oh yes. So it has. It certainly hadn't an hour ago. There are still some peeps yet to change. Are they slowly changing one by one?

How come most people's target bar in their sig lines have reset, but mine hasn't? (I notice that TimO's hasn't either)
I set a new goal for 1/1/13 - 31/12/13. I haven't made any changes to my sig line as my target is exactly the same this year. Is there something elsr I should have done?
Gus, you want to go to Profile -> Forum profile -> Modify profile (on YACF, not mycyclinglog) and scroll down to the signature box.
Then pasteCode: [Select]
changing user from Ashaman42 to whatever your cyclinglog username is and changing goal and units as required.

I assumed that it was based on the number of miles left to do, if you've logged zero. So the higher your target, the lower your ranking before you log anything. But that was just an assumption based on a few glances!
Yup. I simply notice that, for instance, you, I and Ian123 above all have zero logged for this year, you are 118th, I'm 110th and Ian123 is 41st - he has only 150 miles to complete his target whereas I have 7200km and you have 7992 miles. But that could just be coincidence with some completely different factor.I assumed that it was based on the number of miles left to do, if you've logged zero. So the higher your target, the lower your ranking before you log anything. But that was just an assumption based on a few glances!
I wouldn't attribute too many smarts to the code, from previously reading the thread associated with it, it was hacked up fairly rapidly, and occasionally tweaked to deal with any gratuitous issues. I'd imagine that such edge cases were largely ignored, as being a minor point of the code's behaviour (I know I would!). I may have a go at writing my own version at some point, but possibly when I can use one of our newer servers, rather than the old one which I currently use for such things, and on which the versions of Perl, PHP and Apache are a bit dated.

A little disappointed that my super-special thirteenth month has disappeared from my graphs :(
Logged the first ride of 2013 yesterday, and now I'm waiting for my updated target to show in my sig. Not looking forward to chasing a red line all year!
I've almost caught up with my red line now. I reckon it's good to catch it, overtake it and build up a reserve early in the year, so I need some long rides in the next couple of weeks. TimO has already overtaken me!
I don't seem to be able to get myself out of the door at the moment. I'm commuting ok (in fact managed two double length commutes this week) but can't get my mind in gear for leisure riding.
ETA - and as if by magic, my LEL waiting list position just came through, low enough to need to start training :o :)

Congratulations :D
It says on my cycle log I have done 242.79 km but where it says dawes Karakum I have only done 235 15 confused.comFor your other rides you have not logged a bike. You have to "select bike" from the drop down menu every time you add a ride, even if you only have one bike registered.
Is there anyone at home at MCL?
Since registering, quite some time ago, I have never been able to log in. If I go through the password reset process, the site fails to accept the password that they have generated. I've emailed them a couple of times for assistance, once several months ago, and again the other day. Never any response.
I am just over 345 km on mcl but its still saying 310 on here
is there a fault ?
An awful lot of us are now using it - I half wondered if YACF should give Lock a small donation for the use of his bandwidth/programming etc.
I have the same problem with another forum and that's not updating either
A sensible approach may be to distribute use, so versions running on YACF are on a different (free) account to CycleChat etc.
What about seeing if the chappy running the original app will share the code to be hosted elsewhere? Then we could get a few versions going to spread the load.
The fact that Google App is still serving to us (i.e. the ticker appears) - does this suggest that it is not the issue? The app appears to not be scraping the data from mycyclinglog currently - once every 24 hours, scraping the data for only a ?few hundred users? can't take masses of bandwidth could it? ...
Yeah, still around. Although I've long since given up on MCL (Strava addict).
DB filled up after logging data for the last few years, hopefully a cleanup will get things ticking over again. Should hopefully start working again soon.
... Currently it also gets the group page from MCL for every image request, which is probably a bit over the top, so I'll see if I can cache that and minimise the load on MCL (the wget is also relatively "expensive" on this server as well, so best avoided most of the time). ...
Lock's one is working again now.
... There's also no simple way for me to get a transparent background, because of the graphics library that's being used. ...
MCL seems to be down at the moment?
... I'm working on a replacement, but work and Real Life [TM] are getting in the way!
The first version will likely be much the same as the what's currently in my sig, but that is a bodge made out of a mixture of positively ancient PHP, Perl, and ImageMagick. The final version will be pure PHP code. Currently the RegEx that parses the MCF website is barfing, but that's because I just dropped the RegEx from the Perl code straight into PHP, and obviously it doesn't like some small part of the formatting.
I've temporarily given up on Lock's ticker, and started hacking up my own. Unfortunately I can't allow use of this server generally, because it's underpowered as it is, so one ticker being referenced from my own posts is OK, but much more than that would kill it.
The basics are working, I just need to see if I can grab the ranking now!
Joking aside. I'm now using your ticker thing, hope that's OK? If an extra user causes your doo dah to have a hissy fit please let me know :-*
Oh bugger! What have I done???
Oh bugger! What have I done???
It looks like it's not anything that Oscar's Dad is doing, with him also using the ticker on Jakal, sometimes one of us is getting the others name and/or mileage. Opps, something wrong in the code there, some temporary file which is getting reused, or something in a similar vein. :-\ ???
... He may fix his ticker ...
Looks OK from here
I must admit, I don't like the way I'm having to render the text at the moment, so it works OK on darker backgrounds (essentially just a white outline around the black text). The library should support proper alpha transparency ...
Didn't do any miles at all on Sunday. Some bloody woman (http://bloody woman) made me walk fecking miles, AND she wouldn't let me bring a bike.
I see the site is down atm. I've never seen that before.Working now
Ta. :thumbsup:I see the site is down atm. I've never seen that before.Working now
Finally updated my km on it, just passed the 10.000 km so I'm half way to my goal :)
and I have to check my calender, I think I'm missing some rides. ::-)
I've done something potentially stupid and updated my target from 2000 to30002500km. 3k might be a nice stretch target if I'm feeling strong in the autumn.
As I've got over 2000km of audaxing pencilled into my diary between now and the winter (not that I expect to enter all of them), I figured a target of 2k wasn't going to cut it. Rule 5 (http://www.velominati.com/the-rules/#5), and all that.
Unfortunately this means I'm now behind my red line again. Pants.

Well it's two weeks later and you've passed it quite convincingly :)

Yup. There's only one thing for it... *changes to 3,000km*
Did a 70 mile ride yesterday on my 70th birthday making my total mileage for the last 10 years, 100,538.Congratulations!!!!

In June CrinklyAuntie and I both passed our 2012 distance.
Do we just enter the milage manualy?
Dunnonwether to do a search of just trawl through 32 pages? I have finally registered for this but it looks like it an honesty thing right? I don't see how I can load gpx files of my rides? Do we just enter the milage manualy?Aye Dave. You need to enter your distances manually. So.... ball point or pencil? If pencil - HB or 2H? So many decisions.... ;)
Cheers, Dave C
I've finally caught up with my target and managed two months in succession of my necessary monthly average. And May's not over yet. ;DHow it's changed. :( Finally over 5000km for the year but still more than 500km down on my little red line, with less than three months left to do about 2500km to reach my annual target. It's not looking hopeful. And it was all going so well until August.
An average daily distance of 0.88 mi required.
I have revised downwards my annual target from 7000 miles to 5000. This means I now have 143.87 miles to go. I think I should manage that.
Last year, I upped my target from 6000 to 7000 when I reached the former with 50 days of the year left to do. I reached 7000, but I was going out at all kinds of silly times in order to do it.
I need to transfer a lot of miles to Mycycinglogs. I have everything on a spreadsheet at the moment.
I'm in. Bye Bye BikeJournal.
question from non techy cycling logs user---have joined yacf group---but how do I get graphical dispaly to show on posts---like above ?? sorry if this is a dumb question

Put that lotin the middle of an image bracketty thing (press the Mona Lisa picture up above when you are typing a message).
But change your username and target to suit.
Those strava sig lines, are they supposed to be informative in any way?
Some lines. Super. ???
So KOM doesn't have to be up, or even on, a hill? <insert harrumph> And what does 'Act.' stand for? Those strava sig lines, are they supposed to be informative in any way?
Some lines. Super. ???
They're generated by Veloviewer, not Strava - though the data comes from Strava. The information, apart from the obvious ones of rides and distance, are a visual record of one's achievements on Strava segments which are user-defined stretches of road (or off-road) which have some significance to that user, such as hills or parts of hills. Once a segment has been defined, anyone who rides it is given a time and relative position for that segment. So 'KoMs' are the fastest over that segment, 'podiums' are 2nd or 3rd fastest, etc.
Tickers ticking again.
I haven't put anything on Mycyclinglogs or Bikejournal for ages, but I still record my scant mileage on a spreadsheet.
My November total was 26.51 miles in 3h 23m 56s, average speed 7.8 mph, top speed 18.4 mph.
That beats September and October by 26.51 miles etc. I have only 2991.96 miles left to do to reach my target for 2014.

I compensated by extending every ride to work, shops, pub to an almost ridiculous degree. I know evey side road in South Brum now.
I managed 13.12 miles today (after a little rounding up due to getting home and realising I had done 99 miles this month!), which took me to 100.73 this month and 1510.41 this year  Apart from last year, that is my lowest year since I started recording on Bikejournal, but most of those rides had a boy in a bike seat or trailer and that was fun :DOn the basis that a pleasure shared is a pleasure doubled, those rides count twice.
Bugger! the quoted bit I added to my signature is ALSO coming up as an error in pink! (could that be a song title?)
tags we may be able to see the problem
Slope, are you actually a member of the YACF group? You have to ask the Group Admin to add you through the site and that feature wasn't working until a day or two ago (I am the Administrator for the CycleChat group and couldn't add new members)
You'll probably find it working later tomorrow after the site has updated.
Enter the dates as you have them then sort?
Put the first date in a cell, then look for the 'Fill' option, possibly on the edit menu. The options allow a series to be set up incremented by day with an end value.
Sorry I can't be more specific as I'm not familiar with your software version.
Enter the dates as you have them then sort?
Thanks PaulF - but I don't understand :-[ - to enter 365 dates/entries manually would make me wanna weep
That's possibly my best ever January with 1000.4 miles :)
Hi there,
I have just joined VeloHero as my current service (mycyclinglog.com) is very flaky at times and the developer does not respond to questions.
I have uploaded all my rides from this year - 30ish was not too bad and I still had the GPXes - but I would love to be able to import, in bulk from my spreadsheet, my previous years' rides. This amounts to 83,000km in six years, so you can see there is no way I can do this manually (2,500ish lines). Is this likely to be a feature in the near future?
My Velo Hero user name is Auntie_Helen
Thanks!
Please wait a bit. I am developing an Excel macro. So you can import all sums of your workout. When I'm done I post a message on Facebook and Twitter.
With sporty regards
Nils
This is very good news, thank you for responding so quickly!
Auntie Helen
In the appendix you will find a small Excel tool. You can use it to import your old data.(by 'Appendix' he meant attachment, he is German. The attachment was with the email)
Regards
Nils
Thanks for this, but it looks as though it does not include Training Type and Equipment (I know there can be multiple equipment fields so that might be complex, although I only use one per entry) or sport (I am riding both Velomobile and Cycle). Is it too difficult to add these to the import as it would be too big a job to do manually.
My data spreadsheet has about 2,200 rows. You say not to add too many workouts at once - how many are too many?
Thanks again!
Helen
In the appendix you will find a version with sports, etc. I would start with 20 and then increased to 100.
Regards
Nils
Thanks for responding again Nils.
I have had a look and thought I had everything right for a sample of 10 rides but unfortunately my version of Excel (for Mac) has stripped out the Macros at some point. I will have another look tomorrow when my brain is functioning better!
Thanks again - it's great to see you are working to help people using your site.
I'm not sure if it works with Excel on Mac OS X. I believe Excel for Mac can not use macros. Maybe you can find a PC with Excel.
Have just noticed that the YACF ticker/tracker has disappeared from my "signature". I still have the link - http://locksrandomwebservices.appspot.com/MyCyclingLogProgress?user=Slope&gid=598&goal=10000&units=mi (surrounded by the square img brackets stuff) pasted onto the "signature" pane on my profile.
Any suggestions as to why it might have fallen off?

You could use this oneCode: [Select]
Obviously replace paulf_yacf with your mycyclinglogs userid
... I'll be logging in both places for the time being (for the ticker) ...
(or even better, an API)
Is there an API for developers?
Yes :-)
Send me an e-mail. I'll help you.
Just did it again at 15:12 (I guess that's 14:12 for you) and got an error message. Good luck with the debugging!

Don't think it's just you. The ticker is hosted on a goodwill basis somewhere so in don't think that we can expect a high degree of robustness.

Thirteen years ago I started My Cycling Log to share rides with friends and family. It has been rewarding to see so many others find motivation in using the site over the years. Thank you for being part of this journey, but it is time for My Cycling Log to shut down.
Your data will remain available for download through the end of 2018, but I will soon turn off the ability to create new rides.
